The GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) is a joint venture by the six GCC nations, established in 2001, to interconnect their national power grids. Inspired by GCC principles, the authority fosters cooperation and enhances trade by creating a unified regional electricity network. GCCIA operates as a joint stock company, ensuring efficient transmission of electricity across the region, promoting economic growth and energy security.
