The Next Big Thing: Metaverse [Infographic]

The metaverse is a term coined by Neal Stephenson in his 1992 book Snow Crash. It can be seen as a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space.

The term is used to describe a hypothetical shared universe which would exist in both the physical world and in cyberspace. The word "metaverse" was originally coined to refer to the idea of an Internet-based virtual reality, but has since been used for other types of virtual universes that are not necessarily connected to the Internet.

A metaverse is a collective virtual shared space created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space. It can be seen as a combination of augmented reality, artificial intelligence, computer-generated graphics, and data from many sources including geographic information systems (GIS)satellite imagery, live video feeds from security cameras or mobile phones, radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and sensors on objects such as clothes or equipment.

Metaverse is set to revolutionize the ways of doing business by creating an open platform where people can create their own avatars and own properties.

The Metaverse is the next stage of the internet and will allow businesses to create their own virtual world where they can interact with customers. Things You Need to Know About Bing [Infographic]

Bing is a search engine that was founded by Microsoft. It was introduced in 2009 as a rival to Google and Yahoo. According to Microsoft Search Network data, men make up the majority of the search engine population. Specifically, 56% of searchers identify as male, while only 44% identify as female. The vast majority of users are also under the age of 45 (73%), while just over half indicated that they're married with children (53% and 58% respectively).

Bing is available in 105 display languages. This includes the main languages such as French, German, Russian, Italian, and Spanish, but also a number of African languages, like Afrikaans, isiZulu, and Amharic, in 238 countries

Bing has been on the rise and accounted for 7% of the total market . Some say it's Google that still dominates but Bing has seen an almost identical market share to Yahoo's (2.75%). Bing's power is that it ranks well for search terms people are actually typing in, rather than those it simply pays for a top spot. Bing has more users who are switching from Google to the Microsoft search engine

Though, Google still seems to be a bit of the victor, in terms of share in worldwide search engine searches. The Microsoft Search Network includes Bing.com and AOL, Yahoo! MSN, Bing.de and Bing.co.uk etc. Data about the network show it has a 14.2% share of the global PC market

Bing users are researching products and finding them. Microsoft is trying to get more people to use Bing by showing ads for products in the search engine. These ads will be shown on the right side of the screen with a “shop now” button so you can go purchase it. This will increase revenue for both Microsoft and the online store, providing more revenue for both. 55% of bing users use the search feature to do product research, and 38% of users use it for brand discovery.

Bing is cultivating an appetite for travel. In a recent study, it was found that 40% of Bing searches are for domestic travel planning and 21% are for international travel. This is attributed to the general trend of the internet population looking to explore destinations at their own leisure time.

Microsoft's Search Network, which reaches visitors to Bing web search, AOL.com, and Yahoo! web search, spends about 30% more money (about $4 billion) on shopping activities per year than the average internet searcher when they shop via their desktop computers.

Bing’s bounce rate appears to be 28.5% over the last 90 days, however similarweb claims that it can go as high as 38%. Regardless of the exact amount, it’s still quite good. According to semrush, anything below 26% is excellent and the best range is between 26-40%.

Bing had a customer satisfaction score of 71, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index. In 2020, it had the same score. The highest that its score has ever been was in 2011 when it was 82. Since then it steadily declined, apart from 2016 when it jumped from 72 to 75.

Although Microsoft is still bigger than Alphabet, their recent 'IndexNow' project seems very interesting. According to Microsoft, big companies such as eBay, LinkedIn, MSN, and GitHub have already indicated that they’re planning to migrate to IndexNow via the Bing URL submission API. Currently, it doesn't seem as if Google will be participating in this initiative.

However, the sector is still vastly untapped and poised for exponential growth, as in the rest of Middle East. Jordan currently has nearly 7 million internet users. Just over 1/3 of them shopped online in 2021 and generated just over 200 USD average revenue per user. Global trends indicate that this number can only grow as more people transition to online exchange.

When it comes to selection of CMS in ecommerce normally web developers face below questions i.e

WordPress is better for simpler web pages, blogs and small online stores. Laravel, on the other hand, is more widely used for larger sites with a lot of complexity. This means it can be a better solution for complex eCommerce websites that need customized backend systems.

One major difference between this two platforms is that Laravel is not designed to have a direct website interface. It’s designed for building websites around the application, while WordPress has a built-in website builder. The development process of Laravel requires more expertise in order to create an application that can interact with web visitors. As such, it’s typically used for more advanced projects which require customizing, coding, and a lot of other technical development. Laravel is not designed to have a direct website interface. The development process of Laravel requires more expertise in order to create an application.

WordPress is a more traditional CMS, which offers a lot of flexibility for its users. It has more plugins than Laravel, which makes it easier to customize the website’s functionality. However, WordPress also has some disadvantages compared to Laravel. For example, it is slower than Laravel and also consumes more memory when running on a server.

Laravel is a newer technology that was created as an alternative to WordPress because of its performance issues. It is faster than WordPress and consumes less memory on the server. It also offers better security and scalability.

It has been used to power more than 60% of all new websites. there's practically no limit to what WordPress can do. But, with all these features and plugins comes a performance cost. Best Online Business Ideas in Uganda

Africa is encouraging privately owned businesses of all kinds ranging from service delivery to product sales. The reason for this is not farfetched, as privately owned businesses are the backbone of striving economies. This has necessitated African governments to enact laws and regulations that would ensure that individuals could start up their businesses with ease.

Some of these favourable regulations include; access to loans with single-digit interest rates, interest-free loans, and access to business grants. Uganda is one of the leading states where privately owned businesses can strive and flourish, whether small or medium scale.

Presently, there is a growing interest in online businesses all around Africa, yet there remain untapped treasures in this new world. The world is rapidly becoming a digital economy where everything can be done online, especially the conduct of businesses now known as e-commerce.

So, if you are in Uganda or you are considering a move to this region, here is your chance to understand the best online businesses you can start up and become one of the few people currently tapping into this well of unlimited wealth.

Why Online Business?

I believe the question one should ask in this millennium is why not online business? Bill Gates once said, “if your business is not online, then it would soon die out”. The entire world is now online, from moving finances, connecting people, or booking hotels and airline tickets. It would actually be a strategic mistake not to invest in an online business or find ways to introduce your already existing traditional business to the digital world. Other reasons why you should consider starting an online business in Uganda are:

List of Best Online Businesses in Uganda

  1. Affiliate Marketing

This is one e-commerce business that is currently striving in Uganda. The online business model allows one (affiliate marketer) to make a profit from selling other people's products online. In this kind of business, you need to first select a product with high demand or a product you believe people should buy. Then, register as an affiliate marketer with the company, and you would be given a unique ID (a link) that your clients would use to purchase either the item or service.

After doing this, you need to start creating awareness about the product to attract people to buy from you. You can either use already existing and free platforms ranging from online stores to social media to create awareness.

When the client purchase this product, you get a certain commission from whatever is purchased. Affiliate marketing does not only involve products; it could also involve service. You can become an affiliate marketer to businesses that offer certain services. To start up this kind of online business using this method, you do not need any form of capital; all you need is either your phone or computer an internet connection, and you are good to go.

Another way you could start up an affiliate marketing business is by creating either a website, blog or channel (YouTube). Then develop your niche and start building your audience or clientele base by posting content that would attract people to your website, blog, or channel. Once this is done, the next thing is to capitalize on the already built audience by publishing the product you are marketing. However, you must ensure that the products are associated with your niche to get credibility. The only capital required here is the domain charges which are relatively small compared to paying for a physical store. Companies you can become an affiliate marketer to in Uganda include; Walmart, Kilimall, Jumia, Amazon, Dondolo shop, and many more.

  1. Freelancing

Freelance is a very broad aspect of e-commerce that you can start-up in Uganda. To start up this business, you need to develop yourself in one of the many skills in demand in today's society. This is simply because the word “freelancer” is an expert who is ready for hire. These skills include; web design, data entry agent, virtual assistants, writer, counselor, manager, etc.

If you are not already an expert in any of these fields, you can take numerous online courses that stretch from weeks to months. Once you have a skill, you could either develop your website or join already organized platforms for free, which I recommend if you are just starting this business. From the comfort of your house, you could be contacted to offer service anywhere across Uganda (and even from other countries) and be paid with very little or no capital required. Examples of organized freelancing platforms you can join in Uganda include; Fiverr, Upwork, 99 designs, etc.

  1. Virtual Assistant

This is another high-paying e-commerce opportunity that is in high demand. A virtual assistant does the same job as a personal assistant. The only difference is that while the former carries out his/her duties online, the latter works physically. As traditional offices gradually reduce, many people and businesses are in search of assistants that don't need to be in an office. By employing a virtual assistant who could work from anywhere, they reduce their cost of operation. All you need to become a virtual assistant is good organizational skills, a computer or phone, and good internet.

To start this business in Uganda, you could either use your website or use existing websites to showcase your service to larger potential clients. There are several platforms you can start advertising your business; for instance, you can use Fiverr.

  1. Blogging

Another online business you could consider starting in Uganda is blogging. Blogging is e-commerce that capitalizes on the interests of individuals. It involves developing a website or utilizing existing platforms to regularly create interesting or educational content in the form of articles. Once you have been able to generate enough traffic, then you can begin to earn money from either or all of the following;

  1. Sponsored posts: These are posts where you are paid to put up other people’s content on your blog or website.
  2. Advertisements: You could decide to run adverts for business on your blog and get paid.
  1. Sell Personal Products: Having a striving blog also gives you the platform to showcase and sell your own products, thereby increasing your revenue.
  2. Influencer

Starting up this online business in Uganda is one of the simplest because it doesn't require you to have any special skills. It doesn't even require you to invest any capital. All you need to do is register on any social media platform and build your followers. The more followers you have, the more you would earn money.

Uganda is rapidly becoming technologically inclined, which means that the average person has a smartphone. Businesses and Companies are shifting from conventional television and radio advertisements to micro-influencers because a lot of people now get almost all they need from their smartphones.

All you need to do to get paid is to promote brands or products on your social media pages. Your Facebook, Instagram, TikTok pages can be used to earn money in Uganda with ease.

Although starting up this business and earning money as an influencer marketer doesn't require any skill, if you want to grow your business and earn more money, you might want to consider taking a course on social media marketing.

  1. Dropshipping

This kind of e-commerce capitalizes on other people’s products or stock to create one's online store. With this business, you don't need to have any physical product of your own. All you need is a website (which acts as your store). You then go to other online stores or product manufacturers and copy the links (an online address that takes you to a particular intended destination when clicked) to their products.

So, when people visit your website in Uganda and from anywhere, they see the variety of products and choose and place their order. Once you have received orders, you then go to the manufacturers or the shop that has the products to pay for the particular product (fee usually lesser than what your client paid). The manufacturer or the place you are buying from would then deliver the product to your customer, and you earn your profit. If you are interested in starting up this business in Uganda, you can use companies like Obelo or Wholesale2B.

Dropshipping is similar to Affiliate marketing, but the striking difference is that while in Affiliate marketing, your clients pay directly to the manufacturers or stores that have the products, and you get your commission. Online Business Prototypes

There are basic categories to consider when venturing into e-commerce, it is advisable to choose which one best suits you although it is also possible to go into as many of these prototypes as possible. Either as separated enterprises or under a single umbrella of the same brand, online businesses can be modeled with the focus on:

  1. Sales of physical products or services through the market
  2. Provision of services online

Whichever you decide to pick should be influenced by your personal interest and strength.

Regardless of where you are, online business is basically done in the same way everywhere in the world. The most important aspect of any online business, however, is its ability to set up brilliant business ideas which are mostly done offline and applied online in a convenient manner for consumers or clients.

Are there any particular product or service people love and are eager to pay for but cannot easily get online? Can you find a way to make these products or services available to customers across different locations?

How Do I Start My Online Business?

Every business is set up for the purpose of making a profit – including online businesses. Some of the steps involved in starting an online business include choosing a business, identifying your target clients, creating an identity for your brand, and then moving on to creating a website.

The above-mentioned steps call for close work with companies that offer the service of web design in Nigeria. The steps to starting an online business include:

  1. Select a business
  2. Know your target audience
  3. Create a brand identity
  4. Acquire knowledge on how to run your business
  5. Make your business official
  6. Set up a business website

Let’s examine what each of these steps entails for a better understanding of starting a successful online business.

  1. Select a Business

The list of online businesses in Nigeria is growing and more people are getting into the industry every day. This is because it offers a lot of opportunities and benefits that cannot be found elsewhere in the world.

There are countless online business ventures that you can go into, but before picking one, consider if your business is passion-based or profit-based. Your passion might not bring profit, so to avoid disappointment choose a business that will be more likely to achieve your goals.

Also, consider the feasibility of implementing your idea and avoid choosing an online business simply because others have been successful with it as that does not guarantee your success. Moreover, while choosing a business, it is advisable to have specifics in the business to help streamline your efforts and maximize loans, thereby avoiding over-spreading of resources which rarely works.

The business you select is very important for the purpose of web development. It is the job of the web designer to portray your products and services in a way that customers will find appealing.

  1. Know your target audience

There are a few different ways you can approach audience targeting, but thanks to Facebook and Google, you're able to find your customers fast.

Nigeria leads the world in social media engagement, on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The Nigerian people are some of the most active consumers in the world and their loyalty to those platforms shows it. The country's fast-growing middle class has been a key driver of this growth. Nigeria is one of the top five markets globally for Facebook users and is ranked as the world’s third largest social media market.

Facebook has a very helpful feature that lets you determine which sets of people are most likely to be your potential customers, and one of the ways this is done is by analytics of Google. When you are on the internet, there is no sure way of communicating with the right audience without targeting. You won't waste your marketing efforts on those who don't need your products.

So, your message needs to be the right one and delivered at the right time. No advertising campaign is worth a hoot without the perfect info. It's for this reason that it's important to collect and organize all the data you can about your audience before launching any ads.

  1. Create a brand identity

This technique will make your business easily recognizable to your target audience, saving you from the stress of constantly having to explain your business. Also, by creating a brand in line with the interest of your target customers, information on your brand will be easily accessible to those who are supposed to have it. The brand identity of your enterprise must be well reflected in your social media pages and your websites as well.

  1. Acquire knowledge on how to run your business

While you do not have to be an expert to do business online, it is quintessential that you continue to gather information and tidbits on what is required to sustain and develop your business. Also, ensure you are updated on trends that are relevant to your business.

  1. Make your business official

In order to bolster customer confidence in your business, it is important to register it with the appropriate units of government such as the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (CAC). This will help to protect you from having your business brand hijacked from you. In addition, verify your social media account on platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Doing these will also increase the credibility of your business.

  1. Set up your business website

This is probably the most important aspect of starting an online business as any online business requires the use of a website which may be a third-party or a personalized website. This is the major area where e-commerce web design in Nigeria goes into full effect. Enumerated below are the steps in web development through which websites are created from scratch:

  1. Create a unique domain name

  2. Register your domain name

  1. Install a content manage merit system (CMS) on your host account. Examples of common suitable CMS are Word Press, Drupal etc.
  2. Install a Word Press theme
  3. Personalize your website
  1. Create a link to social media

  2. Share your page on social media.

How to Develop Your Website

It is not just enough to design a website; certain web development steps must be taken to ensure that created websites remain high-performing sites and have a brilliant user experience. Some of these steps include:

  1. Map out a plan for your website to convert customers: Carefully plan each page to make sure that you properly highlight to customers their opportunity to benefit from your business. Each page should be designed to understand their needs and provide those needs through interactive tools like a ‘call to action’ – a prompt on a website that the client uses to take some specified action e.g., sign up “buy now” “log in” “add to,” and “contact us”.
  2. Remove distraction: Humans, on average, have an 8-second attention span. To keep the attention of users, simple, easy to understand and uncluttered colors, iconography, logo, fonts, styles, should be used in order to avoid visual confusion which can distract them from the message you are trying to pass across.
Avoid too many on-page animations or interactions. You need to figure out where you want users’ attention to go when they arrive on the page in a natural manner. Avoid inconsistent spacing too.
  3. Add social proof: Try to obtain users’ trust by readily making available testimonials and positive reviews on your product/services. 58% of visitors are more likely to buy products with positive reviews. Testimonials could take the form of orders or option texts placed strategically on the pages of the site so as to build the trust of potential clients.
  4. Call to action (CTA): This makes it easier for your customers to know what they can do on your website and how to easily find whatever they are looking for using call-to-actions. Place these according to the anticipated needs of the readers and in positions where they can be easily noticed.
  5. Organized navigation: This serves essentially as a map to highlight to users the core aspects of your services and products such as process, range of available products, and different brands available. Avoid overstuffing navigation, using confusing hypertext, and poor organization of navigation hierarchy.
  6. Try lengthy homepages that contain a wide range of information such as:
    Value proposition
    Intro video
  7. Overview of your store products
  1. Product features
  2. Reviews/testimonials/success stories
  3. Contents
  4. - What are the different types of products in your store?
    - What is the best way to categorize your products?
    - What are the different ways to use your products?
    - How can you sell your products online?
    - How do you measure success for each of your product categories?

This helps to properly educate users on the benefit available to learn on your websites

  1. Embrace the use of white/negative space: This is an essential design element that helps to break up the page and improve readability. It is the blank areas around the elements on a page. They are used for the separation of sections and equally, help to imply the relation of said sections enabling users to focus on each section apiece and also guide their focus to specified important information e.g., CTA
  2. Mobile optimization: Make sure your site is accessible and easy to use for mobile phones users. According to Google, over 60% of users do not return to a mobile site if they have problems accessing it, and 40% visit a competitor’s site instead.
  3. Use sales funnel strategies: The process of starting an online business is incomplete without a sales funnel strategy. This involves having a plan to monitor visitors of your websites with the aim of gradually converting them from just passing visitors to loyal core customers of your brand over a period of time.

The information in the steps above is what web developers will need to create a website that turns visitors into conversions rather than just people who pass by after a few minutes.

Note: It is also important to have a corporate bank account with a reputable bank that can handle all sorts of payments that can be made on your site.

Conclusion

As for as running an online store is concerned, the importance of the services of web development companies cannot be overemphasized. Every day, more entrepreneurs are looking to venture into online business thus facilitating the need for e-commerce web design in Nigeria.

8 Ways Enterprise Tools Can Help in Business Strategies

An ERP system enables manufacturers to operate their businesses more efficiently by connecting all of their divisions through a single central database where data can flow in and out in real time. The problem with ERP systems in the past has been that controlling the system and all of the data on-site has resulted in the system becoming out-of-date or impossible to adapt as a business develops and technology evolves. Modern ERP tools and services, on the other hand, address these concerns thanks to cloud computing and other technological advancements, making these software pieces crucial corporate growth tools.

ERPs are fantastic multifunctional tools that may help you enhance your entire organization by allowing you to manage all of your departments from a single centralized system, increasing efficiency, increasing throughput, and lowering costs. ERPs provide better knowledge and visibility from the top floor to the shop floor, allowing your organization to run more smoothly and efficiently. ERP is well-known for its numerous advantages. It consolidates data on a single platform, automates manual tasks, and, as a result, improves organizational efficiency. Apart from those benefits, does ERP help a company's strategic planning?

Keep reading to see how ERP tools and services can help you in business strategies.

8 Ways ERP Tools and Services Helps in Business Scalability

Are you interested to know about the ways enterprise tools can help in business scalability? Here is how:

Cloud Capabilities

Cloud computing has changed the way businesses do business. Companies can avoid managing and maintaining servers on-premises by executing programmes and storing data in the cloud. ERP tools and services with cloud capabilities enable businesses to easily add extra functionality as needed. Furthermore, because their ERP system is never out-of-date, cloud computing allows businesses to scale with ERP. This means businesses can concentrate on running their businesses rather than managing data and changes or dealing with an out-of-date system.

Global Capabilities

Companies can grow their international presence by expanding abroad, and ERP systems that support global capabilities can help them do so. Supporting various languages is crucial, but global competence goes beyond that. Compliance with local laws and tax codes is a need while doing business in other parts of the world. Another key component of cloud computing is globalization. When a country's legislation changes, the ERP system supplier can update their localization for that country, ensuring that their clients' businesses are not disrupted.

Mobile, IoT, and AI Capabilities

Technology is more linked than it has ever been, and it is only getting more so. ERP systems are by their very nature connective, allowing reliable, real-time data to flow from a central database into applications. ERP systems that use or plan to use mobile, Internet of Things (IoT), and machine learning (AI) services, on the other hand, will help businesses scale in the future.

Adaptable Modules

An investment in a system that is deeply integrated into every aspect of your organization. ERP tools and services are frequently available in several levels of service to match your company's current needs, with upgrades or more modules available as your company grows. This allows businesses to scale by allowing them to continue with a familiar system as they expand and add capabilities as needed rather than having to go all in or piece solutions together.

Integration

Even though ERP systems are generally comprehensive, there are times when additional third-party solutions are required. Integration with these other services is critical to assisting firms in scaling. Transparency and real-time data consistency are what allow businesses to see growth opportunities and difficulty spots that need to be addressed.

Strategic Execution and Management

Management can set up an entire production process that is optimized at every stage using important data obtained from ERP. The system also keeps all important actors informed and up to date with all the information they require to make sound management decisions and to implement, control, and optimize strategic policy. Everything happens with total transparency when a single reporting system is in place, and with this clarity, management procedures are streamlined and costs are reduced.

Process Automation

ERP solutions may automate core business operations like order processing, production, and accounting, allowing your employees to focus on more vital duties rather than data entry. Manufacturers must ensure that the ERP system they choose for their company includes technology-enabled automation of the critical business operations. Instead, the organization must ensure that its business strategy and ERP are strongly integrated in order to improve business success.

Business Strategy

In the end, a manufacturing company's strategy must be centered on pleasing customers by producing high-quality products at the lowest possible cost and getting them to market on time and at the best possible pricing. You'll be able to achieve just that if you have the correct ERP software on your side.

ERP is critical to your success, whether you're just getting started or replacing an existing system. Just make sure you choose an ERP solutions supplier with a clear vision, an established track record, and a willingness to collaborate with you to create the system that's ideal for your company.

Looking Deeper at Business Strategy and ERP

A new ERP system is one of the components of a company's information technology strategy, which should be aligned with the company's business plan. One of the inputs to the ERP requirements should be the company's business plan.

The company and department plans must provide input to the specification of the new system when planning the demands of the future system. This is the first step in aligning corporate strategy and ERP.

The Popularity of ERP Systems

All effective ERPs will help you enhance productivity and cut costs by automating and streamlining operations and procedures while also allowing you to exchange data throughout your organization.

ERPs are quite useful in today's business world. There are numerous advantages to implementing an ERP tools and services in your shop, including: more jobs delivered on schedule; lower inventory costs; eliminate purchasing errors; improve production efficiency; accurate job costing; better cash flow; and lower operational costs.

Parting Thoughts

Most ERP projects do not link business strategy and ERP. It's a neglected chance to not focus on the underlying business issues that produce problems. An ERP implementation must be more than just an IT project; it must also be a business transformation opportunity.

Project teams rarely focus on business improvement unless they are heavily involved during and after implementation. Instead, they concentrate solely on getting the system "up and running." But then there's a stunning realization: the rewards don't start flowing until AFTER you've gone live. Nothing actually changed except the technology tool that was employed without the transformation (supported by establishing goals, measuring and acting on metrics, mapping the current state against the anticipated future state).

The team will have a greater chance of picking the proper system that meets the company's overall priorities if they combine business strategy and ERP.

Automotive eCommerce Trends

In fact, almost 2/3 of people are now open to the prospect of buying a car online; that is almost double the pre-pandemic numbers. 6 MILLION new vehicles are expected to be sold globally via eCommerce channels by 2025.

With manufacturers including Tesla and Volvo, car and parts dealers, and retailers like Carvana and even Walmart, steering eCommerce growth, 2022 is likely to see the continued developments towards a fuller online shopping experience. We can expect omnichannel outreach, increased online presence, and innovative options. In particular, we can expect increased adoption of Virtual Showrooms and Augmented Reality buyer experience models. With many buyers still preferring the in-store experience, it will be interesting to see how virtual solutions evolve in response. Undeniably, however, automotive e-commerce is here to stay.

Here are some recent automotive trends

Electric Vehicles (EVs)        The popularity of electric vehicles continues to rise as people become more conscious of environmental issues and seek sustainable transportation options. EV technology has improved, offering longer driving ranges and faster charging times.

Autonomous Driving        The development of autonomous vehicles is advancing rapidly. Companies are investing heavily in self-driving technology, aiming to improve safety and efficiency on the roads. Features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist are becoming more common.

Connected Cars        Connectivity is transforming the automotive industry. Cars are equipped with advanced infotainment systems, allowing drivers to access navigation, entertainment, and real-time data. Additionally, connected cars enable vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, enhancing safety and efficiency.

Shared Mobility        The concept of car ownership is shifting as shared mobility services gain popularity. Ride-hailing platforms and car-sharing programs provide convenient alternatives to owning a vehicle. This trend is expected to continue growing, particularly in urban areas.

Electric Charging Infrastructure        The expansion of electric charging infrastructure is essential to support the growing number of EVs on the road. Gov

ernments and private companies are investing in the development of charging stations, including fast-charging options, to alleviate range anxiety and encourage EV adoption.

Lightweight Materials        Automakers are incorporating lightweight materials, such as aluminum, carbon fiber, and high-strength steel, to improve fuel efficiency without compromising safety. Lightweighting techniques help reduce vehicle weight and enhance overall performance.

Advanced Safety Features        Vehicles are being equipped with advanced safety features like collision warning systems, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane departure warning. These technologies aim to reduce accidents and enhance driver and pedestrian safety.

Green Initiatives        Car manufacturers are implementing sustainability initiatives to reduce their environmental impact. This includes using recycled materials, developing eco-friendly manufacturing processes, and investing in renewable energy sources for production facilities.

Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)        AR and VR technologies are being integrated into the

automotive industry. They enhance the driving experience by providing immersive navigation systems, virtual vehicle showcases, and virtual test drives.

Mobility as a Service (MaaS)        MaaS platforms aim to integrate various transportation options, including public transit, ride-sharing, and bike-sharing, into a single app or service. This allows users to plan and pay for their entire journey seamlessly.

These are just a few of the current trends in the automotive industry. The sector is continuously evolving, driven by technological advancements, sustainability concerns, and changing consumer preferences.

In UAE the eCommerce aftermarket is expanding accordingly. It is mainly driven by the B2C category via specialty shops, thanks to growing interest in DIY vehicle customization and upgrades. UAE citizens may not be ready to transition fully online, but they do expect traditional channels to present digital options and enable

online transactions.

With global trends and big auto names driving online and digital disruption, it is only a matter of time before awareness levels facilitate a more definitive adoption of emerging online technologies and omnichannel business models in the UAE.

7 Multi Channels to increase sales of your E-Commerce business in Egypt

E-Commerce has been the rave of the 21st century in Egypt and all other world countries. Most businesses have turned to it to sell their products to their customers, and there is no denying that customers have come to enjoy the fact that they do not have to go to a store to purchase the products they need. However, it is not enough to just dive into E-Commerce for a business to increase its sales – that is only the first step.

There are a variety of channels that business owners could use to drive up the level of sales in their businesses. Customers view these various channels before they make their decisions on the products they would want to purchase.

Customers are usually not loyal to a particular channel before they buy a product. So even when they see promo offers on a particular channel, they would still want to check out other channels in the hope that they might get even better offers.

Business owners who desire to thrive do not use just one or two channels to increase the sales of their E-Commerce businesses. The idea of marketing through multiple channels – or as it is commonly called, multi-channel marketing – is to sell on various channels so that customers can get in touch with your E-Commerce business through any of them. If your business is on several channels, there is a high probability that customers will find your business.

The point is not to be on every marketing channel that exists; instead, the idea is to be on the ones that will give you an edge over your competitors. There are many marketing brands on several channels; you want to make sure that your own business sticks out.

This article will provide you with the 7 multi-channels that can help you increase the sales of your E-Commerce business in Egypt and some helpful tips about multi-channel marketing.

Helpful tips about marketing channels

The following are some helpful tips that you should consider before choosing a marketing channel.

  1. The focus of the channel should be well defined

Multi-channel marketing is not about being on every channel. However, you would first need to consider what being on a channel means for your E-Commerce business – that is, your chosen channel must pair well with your brand, industry, and target audience.

For instance, Facebook has more users in comparison to all other social networks, but it does not really pair well with businesses the way Twitter and LinkedIn do. B2Bs do better on Twitter and LinkedIn than on Facebook; what does better on Facebook and Instagram are B2Cs.

  1. Understand the buyer’s journey

There are four stages in a buyer’s journey, beginning from awareness, consideration, decision, and then post-purchase. The awareness stage is mostly gotten on social media platforms – even when they visit your site, they might not look at your products. Consideration is the point where customers browse through the products; the decision stage is where they place the order. As a buyer goes through this journey, they might make contact with over 5 channels.

  1. Build a multi-channel marketing plan

When you understand a buyer’s journey, the next thing to do is to create a marketing plan. An efficient marketing plan involves various types of content and techniques for communication and the channels for interaction with customers. Your plan should include:

Through dynamic remarketing, you can show ads of your products to prospects that have already checked out your site. Even if they were not interested in making a purchase before, they could change their minds.

Search engines are the bridge between the needs of a customer and the online stores that have the solution in the store. The truth remains that for new customers who have not already heard of your website, the way they can find out is through either Bing or Google.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO), in essence, refers to, when you have properly optimized for the search terms that a customer will enter into the search box of any of the search engines, your online store will be among the top sites that will be displayed. If the customer is like every other kind of individual on the internet, they will probably take a look at only the first 3 or 5 sites that they see, and if your website is one of them, they will probably buy from you. It is, therefore, important that you invest a lot into your search engine optimization (SEO), such as backlinks based on keywords if you are interested in increasing your sales.

More so, the recent evolution of SEO has brought on some of the practices that online websites can follow up with. This would increase traffic on their sites, thereby preventing using dishonorable means. More to be said, there are various tools that you can use to see how good your SEO is and also measure how much your site improves as time goes.

UI vs. UX vs. CX | what is their difference and why is each so important in E-Commerce

If you’re reading this today, I’m certain you must have come to see that we now live in a digital era. E-Commerce is the way forward when it comes to buying and selling products and services. The advantages it provides are endless, but what separates a successful E-Commerce store from one that is not? There are three major aspects of design – UI, UX, and CX and we will be discussing all three in this article. These three are the most important tools every E-Commerce platform must have to succeed in today's digital world.

UI is the short name for User Interface or User Interface Design; UX stands for User Experience while CX stands for Customer Experience. Depending on how you harness them into your platform, these three factors determine how much of a successful platform you will be building as you progress.

    What’s the importance of UI/ UX/ CX in E-Commerce?

When building an E-Commerce platform, the primary objective is to sell your products to your target audience, which generally generates more leads, drives in more conversions, and ultimately makes you profitable. All these cannot be possible if you don’t have a clear vision of the User Interface, User Experience, and Customer Design.

So why do you think companies pay so much to hire front-end developers? This is because the front-end developers (the web developers, the UI, UX, and CX designers) are basically the ones responsible for the design and structure of the platform, its accessibility to customers, and ultimately responsible for the relationship and satisfaction of the average user who comes to the platform to purchase a product or service.

The shopping experience on an E-Commerce Platform should be seamless, convenient, easy to understand, and must provide solutions to the customers' answers with anything related to the product or brand. These are the roles, and as simple as they may sound, they are one of the most sophisticated and challenging career paths with massive financial rewards.

It is not just enough to say that UI, UX, and CX are the backbone of any successful platform. The question is, what do you know about UI/UX/CX? What is their individual and collective role in the growth and success of an E-Commerce platform? As you continue to read, you will get a very clear understanding of the distinctions between these design aspects, as well as the answers to the above question.

What is UI?

User Interface, which we all know as UI, is the aspect of design that deals with the way the user interacts with a particular brand. The User Interface of design is essential because most of the time, the accessibility to your product either through a website, an application, or any other means; its look and feel, and its interactivity with the user goes a long way to arouse the interest of the user, which makes a very important aspect that cannot be left out in any area that requires design.

Let’s take an example of the common UIs we see almost every day; the checkout part of a website, the form fields a user is expected to fill, the buttons- the overall layout of the website, all these are what comes together to form the User Interface of the website.

A perfect example of driving home the point of User Interface is the structure of how an E-Commerce site is being laid out: starting from when the user lands on the homepage of the site, the visual representation of the site, its look, and feel, the grids of the website that show the products, the colors used in the site, the design of the buttons – all these should be structured in a way that would help the user not to get lost in the site.

A good UI designer is one that can imagine themselves in the minds of the target audience and be able to see things from their perspective, their needs and expectations, and how they will interact with the brand. A good UI designer is also one with very good communication skills, as the job is never complete without these.

User Interface design is a very exciting, challenging, and financially rewarding career path today, especially now that almost everything is going digital. The most common way a user tends to interact with the interface of a brand is through websites or applications, as this makes it easy for the user to do almost anything just from the comfort of their devices. As a UI designer, creativity will be a very important toolbox in your arsenal. One key skill for every UI designer is the ability to communicate effectively with the client to know exactly what they want to design and who the target audience is.

You can’t overstress the importance of good communication skills in the life of a UI designer - you’re going to be communicating with the UX designers (as we shall be looking at shortly) and the client as well. The bulk of the work of the UI designer is the creative thinking and research to be done before the actual design itself. As a UI designer, they’re certain roles that are going to be part of your journey, and these roles ultimately determine how good of a UI designer you are as you progress. They include the following:

This should have already given you a clear picture of who a UI designer is; you will have a better understanding when we shed more light on the other aspects of designs as you read on.

What is UX?

UX means User Experience, and it is the aspect of design that has its main focus on how a particular product suits the particular need of the customer or the user. Therefore, user Experience puts the customers’ needs first, and to do this, there are certain questions that need to be asked by the UX designer and should be answered very clearly by the client in order to get the best of whatever the project is.

To make it even easier for us, below are some of the design-related questions a UX designer should be able and ready to ask to make work easier. Of course, some of these questions may not need to be answered in every project. Still, it's good to familiarize yourself with as many design questions as possible in order to satisfy your client with the best user experience.

What are the questions asked by a UX designer when starting a project?

Well, they include the following: Note that the terms Users and Target audience are used interchangeably as they all relate to the customers you intend to serve with your product.

  1. What is the primary job of this product?
  2. What do you want it to do?
  3. What business goals do you have pertaining to the product
  4. Do your business goals support the user goals?
  5. Who is your target audience?
  6. Where best do your audience see your product? (mobile phone, desktop, email, paper, telephone, etc.)
  7. What do users don’t like about the product (do your research and be honest with the answer)?
  8. Where, when, why, and how often does the target audience use it?
  9. Are there special needs concerning the user that I should be aware of when designing? These may include areas with a limited internet connection, less tech-oriented, etc.
  10. What does a regular day in the life of your target audience look like?
  11. What are the actions the users will usually perform while using this product?
  12. Is this product limited to a limited number of users or to a wider range of users? (the question here tackles user analytics – more users, more page views, more conversions).
  13. When they come here, will they be able to get what they are searching for?
  14. What would be your elevator speech for this product?
  15. What are the things you’ve already tried or not tried before related to the growth of the product?

Asking some (or all) of these questions gives you a well-defined plan of what you want to build as a UX designer.

Now that we know the right questions to set you on the right path. Let’s now take a look at what the UX designer really does.

What does a UX designer do?

The solution to this question is what differentiates the UX designer from the other two, and I’ll do my best to give the very straightforward answers:

Strategy and Content

Wireframing and Prototyping

Analytics and Execution

from all that we’ve touched so far, it’s safe to say that even a novice in the design world has picked up a thing or two about who a UX designer is and what they do. You can now clearly see that the role of a UX designer is way more complex and challenging as compared to that of a UI designer. So, you have enough knowledge to set them on the right path whenever you hear people using these terms interchangeably. Now, to the last part.

What is CX?

Customer Experience, usually known as CX, as we shall see shortly, has quite the same similarities with UX, but we’re here to give their difference in detail, so let’s jump right in.

Customer Experience design is an aspect in which the design team follows in order to customize the overall user experience at all points – and these points include before, during, and after conversion.  The CX takes advantage of customer-centered strategies to give customers the best user satisfaction at each step of the conversion journey and also to build a strong customer-brand relationship.

The truth couldn’t be any clearer than what was said by Steve Jobs, Co-founder of Apple and UX guru – “You’ve got to start with the customer experience and work back towards technology, not the other way around.” CX is all about building a strong relationship between the customer and the brand.

CX vs. UX | what’s the difference

The common misconception is that UX is the same as CX. While it is true that both of these designs are concerned with the overall experience of a customer using a service, product, or brand, their difference should not be swept under the carpet.

Let me start by saying that User Experience is a subset of Customer Experience. This is so because a good UX gives your audience the ability to find information faster and easier. The User Experience is the overall perception of the user when they interact with the brand, and these include the emotional satisfaction, effectiveness, and quality of service provided

UX is very important because no matter how beautifully designed your Application or website may be, all it takes for a user never to come back to your platform is when they begin having problems navigating their way around the website. That would be a result of poor User Experience.

Customer Experience, on the other hand, is of an even larger scope. The primary objective of a CX designer is to make the customer feel that they are in control of their relationship with the brand. It’s good to have a beautifully designed website where customers can easily log on to and spend their money with all happiness, but what happens when they come another time, and all of a sudden, products are out of stock without any means to notify users on the website about the number of products left available, or when next the product will be available? The beautiful website will suffer due to a lack of customers, and this is well attributed to the poor vision of Customer Experience.

The collective role of UI/UX/CX in E-Commerce

When you check websites like Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, and other E-Commerce stores out there, the collective roles of UI, UX and CX come to play in different ways. These ways are not for you to understand deeply as that would be the job of the front-end developers, but the general goal of these three designs put together is to ensure that customer interaction with the brand keeps them coming back for more. This major goal is what has built fortunes out of very little beginnings of some E-Commerce stores you see out there.

Conclusion

So, if you ever plan or you’re into the business of E-Commerce, know today that it is worth your time, energy, and every resource available to you to fully develop these three aspects of design in order to give you the fulfillment you desire in this field.

10 User-Centered Web Design Principles That Drive Better Results

Every business should be focused on the kind of customers they want to attract and how best they can meet the needs of these customers once they have a larger base. Most businesses thrive with the current development of technological ways to reach customers and drive sales through the development of websites that allow customers to purchase their products by ordering them online (otherwise known as E-commerce).

Having a website is just a small part of the work that needs to be done. Every business owner should also be concerned about the layout and design of their website – remember that a business should be focused on the clients. As a result, the following questions need to be answered:

  1. What kind of customers do we want to attract?
  2. Can all our customers navigate through our website?

Basically, business websites should be centered on the users.

What is User-Centered Web Design?

A user-centered web design (UCD), although being an independent approach to web designing, is a component of the User Experience (UX) design. In UCD, web designers do more than designing websites they believe users would like and find easy to navigate through; they design websites with the aid of the users themselves. They do this by considering the objectives of users as well as their feedback on certain products.

The big idea is to ultimately ease the access to products for users and reveal products that users view as valuable. Human beings are dynamic, and their tastes and preferences are subject to change; this is something that web designers also consider, which they use to make adjustments to the product to cater to any changes in their preferences. One advantage of fine-tuning a product is that users tend to use a product over a long period of time.

The ultimate goal of UCD is to prevent a situation where users decide to change their mannerisms and anticipations to accommodate a product. This way, the product becomes a constant in the user's life because of the unique experience they get from it.

The importance of User-Centered Web Design to E-Commerce

Online shopping has made it a lot easier to make purchases anytime and anywhere. It really was a pain having to wait in line when one physically visits a store to get the products they need. Since UCD serves as the platform for communication between your website and customers, making little adjustments here and there could make a difference to your business and drive more sales for you.

When business websites are able to show their users that their products can help them achieve their goals, they will indeed see the value of those products. If your business website happens to do this better than all other competitive businesses, your advantage increases over your competition.

It is in the principles of User-Centered Web Design (UCD) that conversion rates are optimized.

User-Centered Web Design principles that drive better results

In User-Centered Web Design, the design or development of websites is aimed toward ensuring that users are able to navigate through the website easily and make checkouts as they please without much trouble. There is no point in having good products when there is no easy access to the point of making a conversion because more conversion rates are what every good business is looking forward to.

The following are the principles of User-Centered Web Design that are sure to increase conversion rates:

  1. Speak the language of your customers (users)

There really is no need to show off that you have a great deal of knowledge. The point of e-commerce is basically to serve as a guide – your website should only show the way – to learning what needs to be learned and making a purchase when they have finally come to a decision.

Your explanations and any comments you have about particular products should be compact and unambiguous. When you need to make a statement that only involves five words, don't go about making them seven. Get straight to the point.

Also, don't make use of terms that only people in your industry could understand or even terms that only intelligent people could understand. A good business would want customers from various groups – both those who are knowledgeable and those who aren't. Except your target is only people of intellectual caliber, it would be in your best interest to keep all dialogues less technical.

  1. Consider the target population – habits and actions.

E-commerce employs the use of an interactive computer system. Users basically communicate with business websites before they can make a purchase. When doing a User-Centered Web Design, the website should be made to carry out certain tasks. Designers and developers alike should therefore consider the user population, age, background (environment), ethnic political, and religious views, and the kind of physical tasks they engage in.

  1. Be consistent

Whether knowledgeable or not, your users would prefer to have a system that they could understand without much effort. The elements in the interface of each page on the website must therefore be consistent. If, for instance, a user clicks another page on your website and the interface looks different, they will feel like it was a totally different site rather than a different page. This could cause them to ultimately leave the site completely – when you do not maintain a consistent interface, you could leave the impression that you are confused or you are trying to confuse your users. Being consistent also builds trust between a business and its customers.

  1. Don't make users apply too much mental effort

.

On average, a user would want to concentrate on whatever's in front of them at a certain point in time rather than focusing on every kind of interaction that the website puts together. When the interaction between a user and the website gets complicated, an average user will find it frustrating because it is a distraction from what they want to do. Nobody wants to have to do deep thinking just to provide certain information or answer any question.

When people use a website, they learn how it operates. Still, if the learning procedure requires too much time and effort, the users are bound to make mistakes, consequently affecting the business, especially those relying too much on a task's task outcome. Also, when tasks are frequent, users will have no business memorizing information entered into a previous part of the system when the system demands it again. The instructions that concern how the website should be used should be outlined plainly, and there should be a way to access them whenever they're needed.

Keep the following in mind;

You want your customers to see purchasing from your website as the easiest thing to do in the world.

  1. Make sure to provide enough feedback to users.

They may not tell you, but every user would like some proof that lets them know that their actions on a website were executed successfully. There a variety of ways in which this can be done. Some websites are designed in such a way that a concluded transaction is depicted with a change in appearance. If, for instance, the execution of action takes time, it is necessary to let the users know that said execution is in progress using an indicator. Users do not need to know about the internal operations in the computer system.

Interaction should not be left only to the page where visitors are supposed to become conversions. It even helps if the different levels in the websites provide feedback to users, including a lower level. When an action has been successfully carried out, a confirmation can be sent to the user. Various websites show a button that has been pressed in which points out that the user already pressed the button. If the operation is going to take a long time, then it would be better to leave feedback for when the operation is completed.

Don’t leave your users guessing if their actions were successful. Did they supply their email? Let them know you received it by sending a confirmation message. Did they sign up for a newsletter? Show them that their actions were confirmed.

  1. Make the navigation through your website easy and fast.

Your website needs to be one that your users have no trouble navigating through. When you make your website easy to navigate through, you let your users know that you are there to provide support when they need it. There are many ways to do this, such as assigning a separate title to each page on your website, assigning page numbers to each page, and having scrolling bars. Other helpful things include a history of pages that have been visited previously, an overview, a map for navigation.

Make sure the design of your website provides a straightforward route between the various windows that the user will be engaged in. The routes that your website provides must be ones that are suitable for each stage of the task the user wants to carry out.

Sometimes when navigating through websites, users end up at places they did not intend. Your website should cater to this by making available a means to exit that location whenever they want to without the need of going through it.

Furthermore, your website should take only a few seconds to load in any browser. People seem to be very busy on the internet these days, and if your website is taking too much time to load, a visitor might get bored and leave the site. Making your website load fast does not only apply to your homepage; it applies to every other page as well as the images or filters on them. Slow loading of pages is one of the major causes of reduction in the rate of conversion.

  1. Allow the user to be in charge.

Believe it or not, before any user visits any website, they already have an idea of what they want or need, and they are only looking for a place they can get it. Users should be able to get what they want without much restraint. Of course, every system should have some kind of restraint in place, but developers ought to ensure that even with established restraints, users still have the freedom to get what they want to be done.

When the need arises where a user has questions, the system should have an answer ready for that question. A live chat should also be made available on your website to allow the users to make contact when they want to.

  1. Provide information but be clear and concise

Not all visitors to a business website already have enough information to go through before they purchase a product. There are some who require more information than others. However, this is not an excuse to overload your website with too much information regarding the products you offer for sale.

Remember that the idea behind User-Centered Web Design is to let the users take control and not force them to accept what you want. Rather than force them to read the information of a particular product, you can help them feel like they are in control by giving them an option to read the information. You can do this by providing a link to that page. Clicking the link would then be their decision to make.

  1. Make sure to reduce slip-ups.

The best way to reduce mistakes is by pointing the users in the right direction as quickly as possible. For instance, a page that requires the entry of data should have a system designed that points out where a correction needs to be made if the data is incorrect. The system should therefore be one that points directly and precisely to the problem – avoid ambiguous language.

Some common areas where problems arise are when users provide either too little or too many numbers when asked to enter their phone numbers or zip codes, when they fail to select the method of shipment they prefer, etc. When correcting this, make sure to use language that is gentle and shows respect.

  1. Your website should have a mobile version.

You should have a mobile version of your website so that users and visitors can access your site even with their mobile phones. Statistics have shown that there are more mobile visitors on the internet than those who use desktops which means that close to or over 70 percent of people who shop online do that on their mobile phones, which allows them some flexibility.

If you want to boost your e-commerce for your business, make sure you have a web design for desktops, mobile phones, and tablets.

Conclusion

User-Centered Web Design is a component of UX design that carries the users in mind during the whole design process. It is aimed at providing the best form of user experience possible to visitors and/or users. In UCD, simplicity should be the main focus of the design. You want your users to be able to perform tasks with ease and navigate through the website without much effort.

It will also be in your best interest to keep the mental effort required to complete tasks to the barest minimum. A lot of people will visit your website, so it should appeal to both the learned and the unlearned alike.

SharePoint VS GO ERP: Features and Benefits [Infographic]

GO ERP is a fully integrated suite of business modules that encompasses the traditional ERP functionality. SharePoint is a document management and storage system. SharePoint is a web-based application that integrates with Microsoft Office and it is highly configurable and usage varies substantially between organizations.GO ERP system uses python as its core programming language with Linux, OS X, and Windows operating system, with 3 layers of Authentication mechanism: Password, LDAP, and OpenID, HTTPS for all pages (web-based apps). GO ERP offers 243 features in total, the number is high as compared to SharePoint, which holds 57 features.

Sharepoint uses C# as its core programming language with the windows operating system only. with Authentication mechanism: Password and Active Directory. . It’s highly technical, requires specialized skills, and will take time. And when you’re given a 600-page deployment guide before you start, it should give you an idea of what’s to come. Despite Good UX SharePoint, however, boasts complex technology rather than employee-centric design, so naturally, the user experience suffers.

Infographics by GO-Globe ERP Saudi Arabia

It goes without saying that any tool designed with a poor user experience will have a low user adoption rate. For example, when the SharePoint search feature takes longer to find the right files than a standard search through a file system, you can’t blame someone for avoiding it. Reports explain that two-thirds of organizations with SharePoint blame the low adoption rates on inadequate user training and the difficulty in using the platform.

The capacity to change the interface for present-day destinations is incredibly constrained. Microsoft has discouraged organizations from customizing the homepage, as unexpected errors can occur if the layout options are changed.

On the other hand, GO ERP is One solution for the entire business, having Low cost of implementation. Highly Customizable to meet user needs. GO ERP is scalable. If you’re scaling up in terms of employees, you can simply add more users. If you’re scaling in terms of adding more functions to your business (e.g. adding eCommerce, manufacturing, etc.), you can add new modules. If you’re scaling by taking your business global, you can also stick with GO ERP.

E-Commerce With Instagram: Pros and Cons [Infographics]

Despite all the hype, Instagram is still not the most-used social platform. It ranks fifth on the list of most popular social networks with 1.2 billion active users across the globe. Other social networks, for example, Facebook (2.74 billion active users) and YouTube (2.29 billion active users) are twice as big as Instagram based on the number of active users and offer more reach. Not only that, Instagram's user base is dominated by teens and the young crowd. 33% of Instagrammers are 25 to 34 years old and another 30% are 18 to 24 years old. This means that businesses that target an older or mixed audience can not reach most of their target customers on Instagram.

Infographics by GO-Globe Web Design Bahrain

Advertising costs are also higher on Instagram compared to other social networks. Yet, 20.3% of businesses say they get more sales from Instagram as compared to 79.7% of businesses that get more sales from Facebook. Instagram is not the most popular choice among marketers and B2B buyers. In addition, most internet users still prefer e-commerce giants, Amazon, and search engines for their online shopping inspirations.

The visibility of business ads and posts heavily depends on Instagram's algorithm which means businesses have to stay on their toes to remain relevant, visible, and competitive in their market. Not only that, Instagram does not provide businesses access to customer data that can be used for future marketing, building long-term customer loyalty, or encouraging repeat purchases.
